BREAKING: France to close all schools as country records 1,000 new coronavirus cases in 48 hours
In a televised address to the country on Thursday night, president Emmanuel Macron announced sweeping new measures to try and contain the virus.
“We are only at the beginning of the epidemic,” the French President said, as new figures show the virus has claimed 61 lives in France.
“Starting Monday, all kindergartens, schools and universities will be closed,” Emmanuel Macron said.
